I wonder what George W. Bush has to say about the lengthening waits at emergency rooms.

My guesses are:

a) "Good things come to those who wait."
b) "See? People are listening to me!"
c) "9/11!"

If he was still alive,
W.W. George Washington D.
regarding the current lineup of Republican candidates for P.O.T.U.S.?

I am confident he would consult the Constitution:

Article 2, Section 2
The President shall be Commander in Chief of the Army and Navy of the United States, and of the Militia of the several States, when called into the actual Service of the United States …

and be relatively impressed by someone with the following resume, especially compared to other candidates and the current P.O.T.U.S.:

* eight years of active duty in the USAF as a C-130 pilot

* other considerations of less priority
*** R.O.T.C. during high school and college

*** graduated from Texas A&M (Aggies)
***** traditionally one of the most pro-military colleges in the country
***** FWIW: Aggies sent more officers into WW-II than West Point

*** passionate about states rights (10th amendment ... see book: "Fed Up")
*** state governor and/or CEO of a business
*** current/former farm owner of 641+ acres
*** Eagle Scout
*** pro life
*** deeply skeptical of macro evolution
*** not pc on Boy Scouts of America (wrote book about BSA policies)
*** not pc on Social Security

* liabilities
*** ‘soft’ on Texas immigration laws passed in the early-to-mid 2000's
*** supportive of NAFTA (although that mid-90's law has become as much a travesty as many other federal laws).
*** The founders intended almost all federal revenue to come from tariffs, and were protectionists by today's standards.
