They called me back; I go in next Tuesday to meet the VP.
I wish I had more to write, but I just don't want to jinx this. It's one of those magical thinking things: it was a good omen that I got to ride a new train to the interview; I have so many networking connections for this; they said I'd hear in three weeks and I heard in three days...
But I really want to look before I leap. And consider the other two interviews I have scheduled. And not get carried away.

Congratulations! I'll definitely agree with you on the need to remember the other prospects as well. It is so easy to get caught up in the opportunity at hand instead of objectively considering the field. I hope everything works out just as it should for you.
