I have two interviews this week; one this morning and one tomorrow afternoon. This morning I'm going to Charity House for a development position that's mostly focused on writing: appeal letters, newsletters, website content, and so forth. It's a long-standing Boston-based charity, with a great mission, but for some reason, I can't bring myself to be very excited about it. Maybe it's the heat.
Tomorrow is a second interview at Corp Theatre. This is a job I'm very excited about. My last interview was a one-on-one with the Director of Development, and I really clicked with her. I have been warned by people in the know (this is why one has a network) to meet the rest of the office and evaluate them carefully before I get too serious. But I would really love to build their membership program up. It would be a great opportunity to mix my social and communication skills with my writing and management skills. I am going to listen to the people around me, though, and look before I leap.
I'm also hoping for the Hoop-Jumping group to call back the recruiter. I liked the ED enough over the phone to keep going. The recruiter has my schedule for the week, and I believe we're waiting on the results of a personality assessment test I was asked to take. It's still the most work I've had to do for a job option, but over time, I've become more and more interested in the work.
